Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Cherlume, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy and AI Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you use Cherlume on behalf of another person, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for them.
What Cherlume does
Cherlume helps you create AI-generated or AI-assisted photo keepsakes organized into Worlds (Love & Family, Pets & Mixes, Memories & Legacy) and Experiences including Future Baby, Couple Portrait, Pet Mix, Pet Portrait, Restore Old Memory, Colorize Old Photo, and Family Photo Enhance.
You can browse some areas of the app without an account. Creating generations and completing purchases generally requires signing in with Google, Apple, or email.
Results are designed for personal, emotional, and creative use — not for medical, legal, biometric, forensic, genetic, or scientific decision-making.
AI-generated and AI-assisted content
- Cherlume uses artificial intelligence to generate or edit images from photos and options you provide.
- AI results are synthetic or AI-assisted and may be inaccurate, unexpected, stylized, or imperfect.
- Cherlume shows AI disclosure labels and notices in the app during upload, generation, on results, in gallery history, and when sharing.
- Cherlume does not guarantee any particular visual outcome, resemblance, or quality.
- Do not use results as evidence, identity documents, medical or legal proof, or biometric identification.
Future Baby disclaimer
Future Baby images are artistic, speculative AI visualizations for entertainment and creative use only. They are not genetic, medical, biological, or factual predictions of what a child will look like.
Do not use Future Baby results for medical, fertility, identity, parentage, or legal purposes.
Your photos and upload permissions
- You may upload only photos you own or have permission to use.
- You must have consent from identifiable people shown in photos you upload, especially for Experiences involving faces.
- You grant Cherlume a limited license to process your uploads solely to provide the service you request (generation, restoration, export, and related features).
- Your uploads, prompts, and generation parameters may be transmitted to trusted AI and infrastructure providers to deliver results.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- Use Cherlume lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not upload illegal, harmful, abusive, explicit, or non-consensual content.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
- Do not use results to mislead, impersonate, harass, or harm others.
Purchases, credits, and subscriptions
Cherlume uses a credit wallet across Worlds and Experiences. Credit packs and a Pro subscription are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing and availability are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase.
Digital purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by Cherlume directly. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, subscriptions, and entitlements on our servers.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price until you cancel through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies, unless otherwise required by law. Because AI results are subjective, we do not provide refunds solely because you dislike a generated result.
When a generation fails for technical reasons covered by our systems (for example, provider unavailability, safety blocks, or quality rejection after automated checks), reserved credits are typically refunded automatically to your wallet.
Credits and entitlements have no cash value outside Cherlume and may change when we update pricing or product offerings.
Content ownership
You retain ownership of photos you upload, subject to the limited processing license above.
Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use your AI-generated results for personal purposes in line with these terms and store policies.
Cherlume and its licensors retain rights in the app, brand, software, and underlying technology.
Prohibited use
You must not use Cherlume, or any AI-generated result, for the following. Violations may lead to blocked generations, suspension, or account termination, and may be reported to authorities where required by law.
- Uploading or generating content you do not have the rights or consent to use.
- Any sexual content involving minors, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
- Explicit sexual or pornographic content, including non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Extreme violence, gore, or content that incites or glorifies harm.
- Harmful deepfakes, impersonation, or synthetic media intended to deceive, defraud, or damage reputations.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or the exploitation of any person.
- Infringing the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of third parties.
- Automated abuse, scraping, fraud, or attempts to bypass safety, rate-limiting, or credit systems.
- Any use that violates applicable law or Apple App Store / Google Play rules.
Safety checks and reporting
We apply automated checks on uploads and generations, including file validation, image checks, and quality or safety gates. Some Experiences may also use automated AI evaluation. We may refuse, block, or stop processing that appears to violate these terms, our AI Policy, or applicable law.
If a result seems inappropriate, you can report it from the result screen in the app. Reporting opens an in-app form so our team can review the issue.
Account and access
You may need an account to generate images or complete purchases. You can sign out or delete locally stored app data from Settings. To request deletion of account or server-held personal data, contact us as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, safety concerns, or legal requirements.
Availability and changes
We may update Cherlume, Experiences, pricing, or these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, unless applicable law requires additional consent.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cherlume is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted service or specific results.
Cherlume is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of AI-generated content or reliance on artistic visualizations such as Future Baby.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
